Mas Palou is the Vallès family's farmhouse in El Pla del Penedès. The house and its chapel date from 1623, and the family has worked these lands for over twenty generations. For years they sold the grapes to other wineries; in 2021 the sisters Anna and Maria Vallès began making wine again, with a small label of their own. The farmhouse is also an artists' residence.
They farm organically, with cover crops and manual work. They read the estate's Xarel·lo in three ways: brisat, macerated on the skins; ancestral, in bottle; and in amphora. Spontaneous fermentation, no additives and minimal sulphur dioxide.
