Vines had disappeared from Sort, in the Pyrenees, more than two hundred years earlier. In 2007, five friends from the Pallars brought them back, planting on old meadows that had belonged to the counts of Pallars, between 850 and 1.100 metres, varieties that withstand high mountain conditions: Riesling, Viognier and Pinot Noir.
They work six hectares biodynamically on slate and limestone, with long winters and big temperature swings. They harvest by hand, ferment each plot separately with its own yeasts and age on fine lees in stainless steel. Minimal intervention and very fresh wines.
