Cousins Jesús Ángel Toledo, fifth generation of growers in Quintanar de la Orden, and Julián Ajenjo started in 2015 in a garage, with 500 bottles. From the start they set out to rescue the La Mancha varieties that were being lost: Brujidera, Verdoncho, Tinto Velasco or Pámpana Blanca, as well as old Airén and Cencibel.
They work eight hectares of bush-trained, dry-farmed vines, with an average age of seventy years; their Airén comes from a vineyard planted by great-grandparents in 1940. They make micro-vinifications by plot and variety, with native yeasts, no enzymes or corrections and minimal sulphites.
